What is the Market Cap?

Market cap or market capitalization is simply the current market value or size of the company. This is found by multiplying the number of outstanding shares by the current market price. There are six main categories for market cap: Mega cap, large cap, mid cap, small cap, micro cap, and nano cap (listed from largest to smallest).
